Alpina builds new 6000m² injection molding plant in Schmiedefeld and invests more then 10 Million Euro
Alpina started to build a new, state-of the art injection molding plant in Schmiedefeld, Thuringia. With 6000m² the plant will capable of housing up to 20 large injection molding machines between 1000 and 4000to. Sales director Michael Müller mentioned at the groundbreaking ceremony on September 15: „The new plant is a major step for Alpina to become a reliable partner for our customers also for large and very large parts, especially for the logistics and automotive industry.
Construction will be finished in August 2016 and already one month later 5 brand-new Engel machines up to 2300to clampforce, fully equipped to provide maximum flexibility, will go into production. We are very happy about the positive feedback we received during the last months from our customers for our plans, and we will work hard to complete all upcoming projects to the full satisfaction of our customers. Also I want to highlight that the new plant allows us to implement customer-specific storage facilities, so that we can set the benchmark for fastest delivery times and production flexibility.“
